About Us
The Tipperary Engineering Forum was established in November 2009 provide a network for the engineering sector in the county. The main mission of the forum is to provide a collaborative means of both business and skills development for engineering firms in both North and South Tipperary. The forum is supported by FÁS, South Tipperary County Council and is facilitated by Tipperary Institute.
Objectives and Goals of Tipperary Engineering Forum
General objectives and goals for the development stage of the forum are:
· To profile the engineering skills in the county/region, starting with a skills profile of the group
· To improve the skills levels of member companies
· To promote the skills and competences of member companies both to each other and externally
· To increase awareness of funding sources, both at a national and at European level
· To increase awareness of the process of securing funding, such as tendering/application processes
· To increase awareness of the requirements of international buyers and exporting options
· To increase awareness of standards and certification requirements for winning contracts
· To increase awareness of procurement processes and criteria or larger companies/customers
